At K’ept, our mission is to advance virtual first care and health equity in healthcare. Healthcare A.I. must have diverse data whether it’s empowering patients at home or aiding physicians. Likewise, studies continue to show that medical research (clinical trials) needs more women and people of color, especially women of color, for more effective prescription drugs and treatments.

Now, for the first time, K’ept Health harnesses the power of community and integrative A.I. technology to improve care while advancing health equity in A.I. and clinical research.

  • Grounding ourselves in integrative and inclusive A.I., we’re helping women of all skin tones receive more personalized care while aiding dermatologists and health professionals with more precise point-of-care recommendations.

  • Current A.I. models are trained on datasets that are overwhelmingly white and male, and in many cases, they are 86% white and male. Similarly, these models do not include information on the root cause of the skin conditions. At K’ept we are building a first-of-its-kind model that improves diagnostic accuracy and cares for patients of all skin tones and health status using K’ept Telehealth or physicians using K’eptDX to triage care.

    We work with research collaborators to give all women from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to make a difference by learning about and participating in research. You can participate by answering online survey questions or other in-person activities. These contributions help drive scientific discoveries. The choice to opt into or out of research is always up to you.
